Baltimore, Canton, and Crabs

November 14, 2017 – After an early high-tide exit from Chesapeake City and an uneventful run to Baltimore, Karin executes a flawless docking into a stiff beam wind at the Lighthouse Point Marina.  Great location within walking distance of Canton, a gentrifying neighborhood of busy bars and restaurants where Thach is introduced to an excellent Oyster Soup at Lee’s Pint & Shell.  The next day, after restoring the Fleet Charge Coolant concentration in the main engine (from the midnight mishap off Cape May), the crew seek out Maryland-style steamed crabs at a laidback joint the other side of the harbor called LP Steamers.  The evening is capped off with a couple of nips at Birds of a Feather, a nice local whiskey bar.
